Cariza Libre, an entrepreneur by trade and an artist by passion, was born in Quezon City, Philippines. She is the owner and creator of "Brush Strokes Ink."
At the age of 9, she moved to Maputo, Mozambique with her parents and 2 younger brothers. As a third culture kid growing up in a foreign country, she had an amazing multi-cultural upbringing. Her exposure to an international community at a young age, instilled the values of embracing cultural diversity and having compassion for people from all over the world.
Libre acquired her Cambridge IGCSE Certificate in Visual Arts and International Baccalaureat Diploma for Higher Level Visual Arts at Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa in Mbabane, Swaziland, where Lord Richard Attenborough is a patron for the school's Art Center. She then continued her university education in her home country at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) and acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, major in Business Management.
During her teenage years, she was often inspired by the beautiful colors of the African savanah, hills, sunsets and clear blue skies. She loves how nature's colors are perfectly balanced, which are altogther serene, vibrant and warm. This continues to influence her choice of color palette in her paintings. Currently, her body of work demonstrates her versatility as an artist and reflects the warmth of her personality. Each artwork shows a unique technique and approach to painting.
